Are You 100% for the LORD ? …Paul Nowlen
1 SAM 3:1-10 – The LORD speaks to Samuel several times. (Vs 10) Samuel responds directly to God and finally realizes he is hearing from God. How many times does the Holy Spirit speak to us, and we are “not tuned in or listening?” Remember “ the still small voice” of 1 KINGS 19:12
PSALM 46:10 – “Be still, and know that I am God”. Evangelist Andrew Murray, of South Africa, emphasized many times the need for a person to “be alone with God”, to yield to the presence and power of HIS holiness, life and love. One aspect of being alone with God is the total surrender of one’s self to the LORD, without that surrender we cannot and will not realize that we have the awesome power of God in us. Look at the lives of Abraham, Moses, Elijah, David, Paul, etc. …they gave themselves wholly to God, so God could work out HIS plans through them.
Our attitude: MATTHEW 22:37, 2 CHRON 15:15 and PSALM 119:10
God’s Grace: in ROMANS 6:23 we find an awesome statement …
Let’s remember something, lest we have a streak of pride and vanity within,none of us deserve to be saved; in HIS love and His mercy God extended grace to those who would believe. Grace is “undeserved favor”.
GRACE = G - God’s R - Riches A – At C – Christ’s E – Expense
ISAIAH 53:6 – foretold what Jesus Christ would do for us on the CROSS. This is the principle of SUBSTITUTE PUNISHMENT, and you must understand this before you can be born again. Lambs were used in the O.T. as sacrifices, Jesus Christ is the ONE and only LAMB in the N.T. and HE is the perfect and all-forever sacrifice, never to be slain again.
ISAIAH 6:1-8 …when we pray, study, sit quietly before the Lord, praise Him, worship Him, serve Him…these are always good and wonderful, and absolutely necessary for our spiritual maturity and growth. But the one question that has deeply penetrated my heart is: God asks this question of all believers – “Whom shall I send?” Given all that Jesus Christ has done for each of us…can we honestly answer God? … Here am I, send me
