Deliverance is a "life-time" undertaking, not a "one time experience". Satan is real, fallen angels are real, demons are real...they invade the souls and bodies of human beings, they oppress humans...they cause untold suffering worldwide...they must be dealt with the way Jesus Christ dealt with them. "Cast them out, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ"
They gain entrance because of a "legal right of entry" or "legal consent" given to them by the person through sin

When a believer is striving for holiness and sanctification, the issue of deliverance must be considered. A "born-again" person's spirit belongs to almighty God, and Satan cannot touch that spirit. Demons do afflict the soul and body of human beings. A believer must constantly be on guard against "soulish relationships", contact objects of the occult and witchcraft, activities that are ungodly, the pulls of the flesh...anything that oppresses a believer. Demons cannot harm a believer who is obedient to God ( "...no weapon formed ... " ) and who does not give legal right or consent of entry to them. Demons have no power ... except what God allows
Some demons come into a person before birth ... some at birth ... some during childhood ... and some during adult years. Satan is ever vigilant to oppress, attack and enter when a door is opened by a believer or some person in authority. The "battle never ceases"... but Christ obtained the Victory at Calvary. A believer must appropriate what Jesus Christ did at Calvary and use that power every day.
Be comforted in knowing that when you are obedient, seeking the Lord daily with a humble heart, striving for holiness and sanctification ... the demons and the oppression will begin to leave you. God provides wonderful protection for His children when they are in His will. Never let your guard down, be vigilant, be do not be fearful of demons. They cannot hurt you.
Getting free from demons is only part of the Salvation plan for every person. What is desired is a new way of life in Jesus Christ, totally committed to Christ and His Body, the Church, growing in grace and knowledge and fellowship with believers.
