Promises to the Seven Churches

 

What are the Promises

How are they received

 

 

1 – EPHESUS            To eat from the tree of life

                                  

Test Apostles

Persevere, have patience-do not become weary

Do not leave first love, but do first works

 

2 – SMYRNA             To not be hurt by the second death and receive crown of life

 

                                Do not fear suffering

                                Be faithful unto death

 

3 – PERGAMOS        To eat hidden manna ( revelation ) and be given a new name ( nature )

 

Hold fast to His Name ( Nature )

Do not deny His faith

Do not eat thing sacrificed to idols ( Jezebel’s teaching – receiving teaching that direct your trust to something other than the Lord )

Do not commit sexual immorality ( Jezebel’s teachings – unfaithfulness local church )

Do not permit those who hold doctrine of Nicolaitans ( make distinctions between laity and clergy with undue power and honor to clergy )

 

4 – THYATIRA          To have power over nations, rule them and receive the morning star (1st                                  Resurrection )

Do works of love, service, faith and patience

Do not permit Jezebel to teach and beguile

 

5 – SARDIS              To be clothed in white garments and not have your name blotted out of the                                 book of life – to have your name confessed before the Father and Angels

Do not name yourself alive when dead ( relying on confession power instead of nature or character power

Be watchful and strengthen things which remain

Remember how you received and heard

Hold fast

Repent

Watch

 

6- PHILADELPHIA    To be a pillar in the temple of God, be established and named ( natured and                                  sealed to the city ) by God – be kept from the hour of trial which will come                                  upon the whole world

Keep His Word

Do not deny His Name

Keep His command to persevere

 

 

7 – LAODICEA          To sit on the throne with Christ Jesus as overcomer like Him

Be hot

Do not say you are something you are not (Do not be a hypocrite and name and claim)

Buy gold ( Divine Nature ) refined in fire

Buy white garments ( Acts of righteousness )

Anoint your eyes with eye salve ( Get discernment and be willing to see what is )

Be zealous

Repent

Heard His voice and open the door to Him
