What is the Ministry of Deliverance & Healing?

Deliverance is the ministry ordained by Jesus to permanently break all types of curses put upon a person – either self-imposed or imposed by others -  and influenced by Satan. Deliverance from demonic entities within a person comes by “casting them out in the name of Jesus”. We learn about demonic principalities, inside and outside demonic powers and how to spiritually war against them with the authority given to believers by Jesus. Sickness, disease and ailments of all kinds have “spiritual roots”, and many times, during or after a deliverance session, healing comes from the Lord.

Jesus teaches us what to do ... and what He did in His ministry

The Word of God is crystal clear concerning the greatest part of the earthly ministry of Jesus. He gave definite instructions to His disciples and by extension to the whole church which claims Him as Savior. The clearest instruction is found in MATTHEW 10:1,8 "...and He gave them power over unclean spirits (demons), to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." (8) "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons."

LUKE 9:1 "...gave them authority over all demons, and to cure diseases." MARK 3:14-15 "...and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons." Examples of what Jesus did in deliverance ministry are found in MARK 1:25-27, 39, 5:1-10, 25-29, 6:12-13, 9:20-27. Be encouraged: "MARK 16:17-18 "...cast out demons" - "will speak with new tongues..."

How does Deliverance Ministry work?

It does not work by (1) praising the Lord (2) getting a prophecy (3) reading/memorizing the Bible (4) praying (5) singing or laughing (6) wait them out … none of these ways are what Jesus taught. He said “cast them out in My name.” Our years of experience show the vital importance of the demonized person to FORGIVE all persons for all offenses and hurts. The Lord will not forgive you unless you forgive. Forgiveness opens the door to the “roots” of what is going on in a person’s life and makes it possible for the demons to be exposed, driven out and curses broken ... "setting the captive free".

The Holy Spirit will begin to show those involved what demons are working or the curses involved. As the demons begin to manifest they are called out “in the name of Jesus.” One session is usually not enough. The person needs to be jointed into a local body of like-minded believers to receive further counsel, love and support. Deliverance is life-changing, ongoing and shows the Kingdom of God at work.

REMEMBER THIS: 1 JOHN 3:8 - Jesus came to "destroy the works of the devil" - that is deliverance ministry
